From Seeds to Sturdy Trees

“The greatest oak was once a little nut that held its ground”.  -Proverb
The SEED Academy is just one of the many outreach programs of Southville International School and Colleges (SISC). It is a highly competitive evening educational institution that offers Information Technology courses.

Since 1999, it has helped numerous less fortunate students land decent jobs because of the unique training given to them through the institution’s specially-designed academic program. The students work in SISC offices during the day and get to attend their classes at night. This gives them the opportunity to immediately practice what they learn and, make them highly skilled and readily employable.

Daisy Charisse Agtay, a SEED scholar taking up Information Systems Technology, shares, “I learned to balance my time and set my priorities both in work and studies. I also improved my communication skills and self-confidence.”

Aside from gaining a lot of friends in the campus, Julius Pagdato, also a SEED scholar, is thankful because he is able to spare her parents from the financial burdens of putting him through college. Because of SEED’s ladderized program, he plans to pursue his studies to a College Bachelor’s Degree after getting his 2-year diploma.

Daisy and Julius are sure to join the roster of the following SEED scholars who are now making a difference in the industries they work in:
