Attention: Moodle Users

Moodle will be down tomorrow, August 27, 2010 (Friday) from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

The downtime is caused by the configuration of a new system to improve our internet connection (that’s what the supplier says anyway)

Apologies for the downtime last night.

We were trying to do a switch to a load balancer box (two internet connections) which will make the moodle go down less and have faster internet, however we did not complete setup last night and the weary team forgot to switch to the previous server (where moodle worked!)

Future attempts (normally futile) we will give you a technical advisory on downtime (probably 4pm-8pm if ever) and hopefully will consume enough caffeine to remember to switch back to the old box if it doesn't work.
