The only school in the Philippines to participate, Southville International School and Colleges represented the country and joined over 40 schools around the world in the recently concluded
Georgetown University - School of Foreign Service’s 5th Model United Nations (MUN) conference held last January 28 - 31, 2010 in Doha, Qatar.

The SISC delegation was composed of Shayne D. Almanzor, Dong Hwan Lee, Hyung Jun An, Yejin Kim, and Sung Hee Hong with their mentor, Mr. Rene Aligonero. The students stepped into the role of a political figure, discussed and debated on current global issues, worked together to draft bills and resolutions, and experienced formulating policies with their peers from around the world.

The MUN meet seeks to provide an unparalleled educational experience for talented secondary school students as they learn about the United Nations, international institutions, and the democratic political process through an exciting role-playing experience. -30-
