MEETING THE DEMANDS OF A DYNAMIC GLOBAL BUSINESS ENVIRONMENT
Graduates of BS in Accounting Technology can work as accounting technicians whose function is to assist the Accountant in various critical accounting-related activities such as but not inclusive to preparation of accounts, bookkeeping, company expense monitoring, and managing staff payroll. Most importantly, the program seeks to combine accounting skills with relevant computer software knowledge and competencies that will enable them function actively in the field of E-Commerce.
BS Accounting Technology Graduates:
- Are trained by competent instructors in the field of Accountancy, Law, Management and Information Technology to develop a high level of knowledge and skill that would qualify them to meet the standards of Accountancy both here and abroad.
- Can be employed to work as bookkeepers, accounting clerks, tax accounting staff, audit staff, budget analysts, credit analysts or financial controllers. The program will also equip them with specific skills necessary for entry in the various jobs in the highly lucrative BPO industry.
- Graduates of the 4-year BS in Accounting Technology who maintain the required grades, may opt to enroll for another year to acquire the degree Bachelor of Science in Accountancy and be eligible to take the licensure examination for Certified Public Accountant.
This will also equip them with specific skills for entry into the highly lucrative BPO industry and other accounting profession. The BSAT student, if qualified, may pursue the 4-year Bachelor of Science in Accountancy program and be eligible to take the licensure examination for Certified Public Accountant.
