"Southville’s Poor Urban Child (POUCH) was a program that made an impact in my life. As a future nurse, caring is part of the values that we must uphold in our lives. Through POUCH, I was able to learn early the importance of caring for other individuals through serving and sharing with the beneficiaries of POUCH what they are not privileged to have." read more>>

Shop at the High School Christmas Bazaar

The High School Division will hold its annual Christmas Bazaar on December 4 - 5, 2014, 11:00 am - 6:00 pm, at the Monarchs Gym of Luxembourg Campus. The activity is an integral part of the SISC business curriculum which provides students with the opportunity to apply the knowledge and skills learned in the classroom on running a business, and become “their own boss.” It is a major requirement in the business subjects, credited as the students’ authentic assessment grade.

Prior to the event, the students created an original business concept, developed a business plan, and prepared a detailed plan of tasks to be done at the bazaar. The students took responsibility of all aspects of their business including purchasing, production, setup, pricing, and promotion. After the event, the students will write a reflective final report analyzing what they have learned during the project.
