Dr. Marvin Jino Bugna

High School,

Class 2004-2005

"Southville trained me to become a responsible and disciplined person. It helped me become a good leader in many ways. It taught me the importance of helping others and studying hard in order to get good grades. Applying the 5C’s (Competence, Character, Collaboration, Creativity and Commitment to Achieve) and 5S’s (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain) that Southville taught me was a great help that made a big impact and difference in my life in becoming a doctor." read more>>

Learn how to have a harmonious and successful family at Southville

The Southville International School and Colleges Parent Education Center (SPEC) is hosting a seminar on “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Families” based on the book of Stephen Covey. It will be held on February 27, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

As families are considered the heart and core of any community, a successful family produces well adjusted and successful children. It is not easy to achieve but it is possible as Stephen Covey, the author of 7 Habits of Effective People, has identified 7 Habits to help families improve relationships, live harmoniously and become successful.

At the end of the parenting session, families will be able to:

1. Understand the 7 Habits of Successful Families;
2. Apply the 7 habits in real life situations that will address common family issues;
3. Develop a Family Mission Statement that will give the family a clear direction on their values as a family and what matters to them the most;
4. Become more effective in raising emotionally healthy, happy, and well- adjusted children;
5. Apply the skills of empathic listening and synergy; and
6. Learn to discipline and motivate children effectively.

The engaging, family-strengthening seminar is open to all parents and guardians with children and wards of all ages.
