Southville Commemorates US Memorial Day

May 29, 2016 - Southville International School and Colleges joined the U.S. community in remembering the men and women who have died in service of the United States in a ceremony held at Manila American Cemetery and Memorial at Taguig City.

Representing the school during the U.S. Memorial Day were Dr. Jerry Aguilar and Mr. Philip Bennett from the Office of Public Relations. Leaders from different faiths and respected representatives from Civic, Military, and Veterans organizations were also in attendance.

Dr. Aguilar expressed, “Southville recognizes the importance of this event as this is a reminder of the bravery of Filipino and American soldiers who fought together for our freedom. This is also what we do at Southville--- Collaboration. We make things happen by working together.”

The United States (U.S.) Memorial Day is annually observed on the last Monday of May. Every year, Southville International School and Colleges commemorates the occasion in solidarity with the American community. Southville believes that those unsung heroes sacrificed their lives not only for the good of their country but of the whole world as we are of one world, one home.
