Creative Professionals Review Student Art for Exhibit

MARCH 2, 2018— in preparation for their external exhibit, the fourth-year students of Multimedia Arts presented their proposed artworks to a panel of creative practitioners at the Lecture Room of the Media Center. The exhibit’s theme, human trafficking, required the students to express their awareness on the issue through various media. The presentation included photos, illustrations, video productions, and sculptures.

The panelists were Jemimah Dumawal, Creative Lead of ASPACE Philippines and City Organizer of PechaKucha Manila; Krizia Parungao – an alumna of Southville’s College of Multimedia Arts, Batch 2012; a freelance writer and former senior associate newsletter editor for EBARAbstracting Company; and Sef Carbonell – an alumnus of Southville’s College of Multimedia Arts, Batch 2010; a Marketing VP for JANS Gateway Academe and Multimedia Product Advertising and Digital Enterprise Engagement Manager for Machines4U.

This is the first-time students of Southville's Exhibit class had to present their artworks to a panel before submission.

The external exhibit is done annually by the fourth-year students of Multimedia Arts to expose them to both art appreciators and creative professionals outside school. At times, it raises awareness on specific topics, issues, and current events.

This year's external exhibit, Leashed, will be at the Dragon Gallery at Yuchengco Museum, Makati City. Ribbon cutting will be on March 14, 4 PM. Leashed will run up to March 28
