October 21, 2016 – The first graduating class of BS Accountancy of Southville International School and Colleges recorded a 100 percent passing rate at the 2016 Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Board Exam.

All 6 Southville-BS Accountancy graduates passed the exam as per the official results released by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) and Board of Accountancy last October 19, 2016.

Southville’s very first CPAs are:

Africano, Karen
Aves, May Anne
Azon, Shiela
Falceso, Davy Rose
Gatpayat, Jaime Rica
Samarita, Patricia Anne

Southville has taken extra measures to ensure its students are well-prepared for quality accounting work, as well as, the board exam by conducting its own review classes during their 4th and 5th years in college considering the objectives of the accounting curriculum, the broad areas of business, and other related disciplines and competencies.

“I am pleased with the excellent passing rate of our students. This is an indicator of the level of preparation they received at Southville and the hard work that all of our students put into their studies. I wish them every success in the workforce,” said College of Business, Entrepreneurship and Tourism Dean Victor Manabat.

All passers are first time examinees and are now officially Certified Public Accountants (CPAs) who will surely make a difference in our society.
