Consortium of the South Initiates Green Productivity Seminar for Community Leaders and Concerned Citizens




In its advocacy of enhancing community growth and environmental protection for sustainable development, the Consortium of the South (COTS) together with Southville International School and Colleges is inviting all community leaders and concerned citizens to the Best Practices on Environmental Management: Green Productivity Seminar on November 29, 2016 at 1:00PM with Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Undersecretary Atty. Jonas Leones as the Keynote Speaker.

The seminar will also feature Ms. Dorothy Navarro, Environmental Management Specialist, and Ms. Maritess Solomon, Green Productivity Practitioner, from the Development Academy of the Philippines as resource speakers. There will be a short forum and interaction with Undersecretary Leones, the officers of the enclaves in BF Homes, and the heads of schools of the Consortium of the South.

The Green Productivity seminar will address the need of communities to be apprised of the global trends on the best practices in environmental and waste management so they can share this knowledge to their constituents.

The Consortium of the South (COTS) is the association of higher education institutions south of Manila. Regarded as the first consortium outside the university belt, COTS is composed of Southville International School and Colleges (SISC); Lyceum of the Philippines University (LPU) Calamba; University of Perpetual Help System (UPHS) Dalta; San Beda College (SBC) of Alabang; Olivarez College; PATTS College of Aeronautics; and De La Salle University (DLSU) Dasmariñas.
