Southville Students Hold Biggest IT Convention in the South

The Bachelor of Science in Information Technology students of Southville International School and Colleges will hold the biggest IT Convention in the South with the theme “Raising a New Breed of Responsible Filipino Netizens.” IN2ITion or Into IT Convention, an annual Information Technology convention organized by Southville IT Students, will be held at Villar Sipag Events Center on March 3, 2017.

“Most of the major IT conventions for students are around the North of Manila. Because of the commuting woes of travelling from the South going to the North, it is very difficult for most students in our area to participate in experiencing the joys and the educational benefits of the major IT conventions. So we started IN2ITION and we aim to become to hold the title of being one of the IT conventions that students will look forward to attending yearly,” Dr. Aris Ignacio, Dean of BS Information Technology of Southville.

The biggest names and experts in the information technology and web governance will grace the event to share the exciting progress and advancements in the IT industry in the Philippines.

The student-led event aims to raise the digital literacy and awareness of the developments, issues, and topics in the fields of the Internet and trends in Information Technology. The goal of the event is to develop the Filipino youth to be more responsible in their thoughts and actions, both digitally and globally, and also, get them to experience being in the same grounds with some of the people from the major players/ game changers in the IT industry.
