Southville Mathletes Earn Top Scores in International Math Competition

Students from Southville International School and Colleges were named recipients of top certificates in the 6th International Mathematics and Assessments for Schools (IMAS) organized by the Chiu Chang Mathematics Education Foundation in Taiwan. The competition is a world class mathematics contest for middle primary, upper primary and junior secondary students from more than thirty-five countries.

Fourth grader Ervin Joshua Bautista was awarded the High Distinction Certificate for getting a score above the 95 percentile in his level. Third grader Andre Christian Tuason, fourth graders Deeyon Rouche Tolentino and Yoon Hyung Jin, fifth graders Hwan Ryu Jeon, Lee A Rin, Raven Breanna Maat, Lauren Mattea Masilungan, Robert Jeremiah Rivera and Seok Ki Min, seventh grader Gwyneth Margaux Tangog, and ninth graders Miguel Dominico Alzona and Stefano Crispino De Castro were given the Credit Certificate for scoring above the 50 percentile of the takers in their level.
