Career Talk

Last Monday Afternoon, the 4th of September; students from B.S – Psychology (Julian Pupos, Molly Santiago and Kristine Burgos) became the ambassadresses of their department. The career talk was for the Senior High School Students with an Academic Track of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics). The purpose of the talk is to help the SHS students of Southville International School and Colleges to choose the right course that they would pursue in the near future.

The ambassadresses showed the video of Psychology containing the activities that the course had in the past semester. They also played a game using the Thematic Apperception Test so that the students will have a hint of what Psychology is all about. They talked about the misconceptions and achievements of the Psychology Society. The students were also introduced to some job prospects if they will choose the said field of expertise.

The Career talk was a successful event for the Psychology Students because they were able to share their passion, which is studying Psychology. The Senior High School Students showed their interest in Psychology by participating in the game and the way they listen to person speaking in front of them.

Despite of the lack of time given, The ambassadresses were still able to share their knowledge about what they have learned in psychology and they have successfully made the senior high school students gain interest in Psychology.
