Southville Celebrates Winwyn Marquez' Victory

November 28, 2017 - Southville International School and Colleges celebrates the victory of its alumna, Miss Teresita Ssen "Winwyn" Marquez in the recent Reina Hispanoamericana 2017 pageant with a homecoming event wherein she reminisced the time she had with her alma mater with her former teachers and classmates.

At the event, school officers awarded Winwyn Marquez Southville tokens and a Plaque of Recognition for setting a positive example and great inspiration to the Filipino youth and proving that no dream is impossible as long as you put your heart and mind on it.

Winwyn Marquez thanked all her teachers, classmates and friends for their loving guidance and unwavering support from when she was a student, to being an actress, up to reaching her dream of representing the country.

A member of Southville High School Class 2008, Winwyn Marquez continues to advocate for Southville's Save a Poor Urban Child (POUCH), an outreach program that provides tuition subsidy, medical and dental assistance, school supplies and feeding program to the poor but deserving children. She signed autographs and joined the children's games.

“It is a gift to help other people. I learned so much from the Save-a-Poor Urban Child (PoUCh) Program and because of it, my heart became closer to the other kids,” said Winwyn Marquez.
