Dr. Marvin Jino Bugna

High School,

Class 2004-2005

"Southville trained me to become a responsible and disciplined person. It helped me become a good leader in many ways. It taught me the importance of helping others and studying hard in order to get good grades. Applying the 5C’s (Competence, Character, Collaboration, Creativity and Commitment to Achieve) and 5S’s (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain) that Southville taught me was a great help that made a big impact and difference in my life in becoming a doctor." read more>>

Southville Nursing Students Enjoy a Day of Wholistic Wellness

Partnership with Asian Hospital & Medical Center for faculty and student enhancement initiatives has been kept active and current. With the shifting healthcare priorities, now focusing on health promotion and disease prevention, last July 15, 2017 Level II BSN students were given the opportunity to experience an interactive forum with experts on wellness at the AHMC during a lay forum entitled “Breathe: A Wholistic Wellness Event”. The concept of ‘wholism’ which nursing students know as the bio-psycho- socio-spiritual perspective of care has moved to a broader dimension in highlight of promotive health & wellness. Popular and interesting topics on probiotics by Dr. Luisito Ruiz, MD of ProBio Medcare, a raw food demonstration by Chef Sonia Astudillo, aromatherapy & Essential Oils by Ms. Paulette Go of Doterra Essential Oils and an actual yoga session by Ms. Michelle Araneta of Beyond Yoga Alabang were the highlights of the event. After the session the nursing students’ perspective of health, somehow expanded and were literally able to appreciate what it means to ‘breathe wellness’. -CAV
