Tanno Receives International Distinction Award for Science



There’s no stopping high school freshman Gen Mark Tanno from reaping more awards in international academic competitions. Recently, he received the much coveted Distinction Award in the 2011 International Competitions and Assessment for Schools (ICAS) – Science.

 

ICAS – Science was administered simultaneously worldwide last June 9, 2011.  More than one million grade school and high school students from different countries including Indonesia, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, Brunei, Philippines, and some territories in the Pacific participated in the said competition.

 

ICAS provides extensive and independent evaluation of students’ skills, knowledge and understanding in the core learning areas, which are important indicators of success in school and beyond.
