Dr. Marvin Jino Bugna

High School,

Class 2004-2005

"Southville trained me to become a responsible and disciplined person. It helped me become a good leader in many ways. It taught me the importance of helping others and studying hard in order to get good grades. Applying the 5C’s (Competence, Character, Collaboration, Creativity and Commitment to Achieve) and 5S’s (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain) that Southville taught me was a great help that made a big impact and difference in my life in becoming a doctor." read more>>

Lopez Ranks 4th in PLDT Directory Cover Contest

Encar Sarah Lopez, AB Multimedia Arts sophomore of Southville International School and Colleges (SISC), finished as fourth place in the 26th Visual Arts National Competition of DPC-PLDT. She bested 1,062 photo entries from 24 schools nationwide. This feat lands her a spot in the covers of the 2013 PLDT Directories.

Judges for the said competition were landscape photographers Jay Jallorina and Edwin Martinez, portrait photographer and UP Fine Arts professor Ernesto Enrique, portrait photographer Alex Van Hugen, and portrait/documentary/advertising photographer Wig Tysmans (Chairman of the Board).

Lopez’s photo is a creative shot of the staple crop mais (sweet corn), as sold by a street vendor. Not only did the image vividly convey the mouthwatering yellow kernels, but also the Filipinos’ love for style and beauty – even in food.

Congratulations, Encar! Your Monarchs family is truly proud of you.
