Monarchs Take Home Championship Crown

Holding the 2009 Over-All Championship Title of International Schools Activities Conference (ISAC), Southville International School and Colleges (SISC) ruled over Global Jaya International School (GJIS) in the Volleyball and Basketball Girls and Boys Division in the Asian International Schools Conference (AISAC) held in Indonesia recently.
Exclusively open to the two founding international schools (SISC and GJIS), AISAC is aimed to be a premiere sports competition among international schools in Asia, preferably accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO).
“At present, SISC is dominating the International Schools Activities Conference (ISAC) which is our main league. We are in the position to expand internationally and try other teams,” said Ms. Rea Celine Villa, SISC Athletics Department Head. She added, “The ISAC board informed us that we need to put in B teams because the ISAC is designed to be a developmental league and most of our teams are already competitive. By forming the AISAC, our A teams can have a league and our B Teams would participate in ISAC.”
Clarus Cortes and Willie Ann Yu were awarded Best Players for Volleyball while Mark Sy and Megu Oyama got the Best Players for Basketball.
