Fourteen year old Verniece Enciso has proven once again her Ice Skating prowess upon winning five gold medals, one silver medal and one bronze medal in Skate Asia 2008 held in Sunway Pyramid, Kuala Lumpur Malaysia, August 9-16, 2008 with 633 participants from ten different countries- China, Hongkong, Indonesia, Macau, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, UAE, USA and Philippines.

A grade nine student of Southville International School and Colleges, Enciso has been competing in Ice Skating for several years. At age ten, Enciso won in the 2005 Philippine National Figure Skating Championship. In 2006, she was crowned Miss Barbie Ice Princess. Other competitions that she joined where she won gold medals were Skate Asia 2001 in Hongkong, Skate Asia 2002 in Bangkok, Thailand, Skate Asia 2004 in Singapore and Skate Asia 2006 in Shenzhen, China.

 

Apart from Enciso, Verne Kelvin, her brother, grade four student of SISC and Isay Villafuerte, former SISC student won 3 gold medals in Hockey Skating, Hockey Puckhandling and Production and 10 medals respectively.
