Grade Four SISC Studes Triumph in 2008 Australian Mathematics Competition
Three Grade 4 SISC students received recognition in the recently concluded 2008 Australian Mathematics Competition.
Gen Mark Tanno, Hannah Trisha Uy and Isabel Young, all from Grade 4Humility bagged awards in the different categories.
Gen Mark was awarded a Certificate of Distinction, an award given to a student who is in the top 9% of their year and region. Hannah received the Certificate of Credit which is given to a student who is in the top 50% of their year and region. Isabel got The Proficiency in Mathematics Skills and Problem Solving which is given to a student who received a satisfactory score.
Australian Mathematics Competition which started back in 1978 is an annual event sponsored by the Australian Mathematics Trust. The competition is participated by thousands of students coming from Australia and overseas.
