SISC captured its third straight overall championship at this year’s Southville Global Education Network’s (SGEN) Academic Olympiad held last December 7, 2018 at Stonyhurst Southville International School – Batangas. The event featured the best and the brightest Basic Education students from the SGEN member schools namely South Mansfield College, Stonyhurst Southville International School – Batangas, Stonyhurst Southville International School – Malarayat, and SISC.
Robert Jeremiah Rivera of Gr. 7 – Resilience and Whaqyn Miguel Olalia of Gr. 11 – Efficiency won first place in the Spelling Bee and Impromptu Speaking contests, respectively, while the SISC Team of Stefano De Castro, Jang Ku Hyo, Lee Hyun Ju, Geraldine Maag, Antwone Santino Ong and Robert Jeremiah Rivera was declared champion in the Quiz Bee on History, Mathematics, and Science. Keneisha Janice Pinto of Gr. 10 – Commitment and Jaeda Johnson of Gr. 9 – Harmony, meanwhile, finished first runner-up in spelling and impromptu speaking, respectively.
Their winnings placed SISC on top of the point standings to retain the overall championship for the third year in a row.
