Student Tips: Back to School Reminders

The end of summer vacation is just around the corner. It is once again the time to start preparing everything that will be needed in going back to school.

Aside from completing school supplies, uniforms, and enrollment procedures, here are few reminders that may help students for the upcoming school days.

Vacation-oriented body clock

The vacation during summer brought a lot of various exciting activities that affected the body clock. This will be troublesome for both parents and students especially on the upcoming back-to-school season. With body clock accustomed to late night sleeping, it will be a struggle to get out of bed the next morning to make it to school.

Possible solutions could be practiced weeks before summer vacation ends to gradually make it a habit again. Start by going to bed earlier at night and continue making it earlier and earlier every day to get back into the early morning routine. It will also be helpful to prepare everything from what to wear and what to bring before heading to bed so the next morning will be easy.

Use ergonomic school gear

Students will be carrying a lot of school supplies and books essential to their studies. Finding the suitable backpack is important not only for keeping things organized but to avoid back, neck, and shoulder pain as well.

It is advisable to choose from a selection that has wide, adjustable, padded shoulder straps and padded back for support and comfort.

Eat healthy

It has been said a lot of times that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. This meal is essential particularly for students in order to be more alert and productive inside the classroom.

Remember that it is important to eat food that provide sufficient amount of energy such as fruits, vegetables, and lean meat needed all throughout the day. Busy schedule and lots of schoolwork will start to come and it is important to have a well-nourished body to keep every student going.

Whether students are headed back to college, high school, middle school, or elementary school, readiness is a must. Southville International School and Colleges is one of the leading international schools in the Philippines that can work hand-and-hand with every globally-competitive student in assuring good academic year and the achievement of many learning goals.
