Southville delegation wins Major awards in International MUN (Model United Nations)

The Southville International School and Colleges (SISC) Model United Nations (MUN) delegation returned from the 8th International Model United Nations Conference in Beijing, China with the top awards as the only Philippine representative. The following are the awards received by SISC students: John Jake Worden (Best Delegate), Alexander Therese Derpo (Outstanding Delegate), Jee Seung Hong (Outstanding Delegate) and Sungyu Kwon (Honorable Mention).

They joined more than 200 delegates from 83 schools around the world at CITIC Grand Epoch City from August 3 - 6, 2015. The meet seeks to provide an unparalleled educational experience for talented secondary school students as they learn about the United Nations, international institutions, and the democratic political process through an exciting role-playing experience.

The Southville delegation was composed of Dainyl Rouche Tolentino, Jievo Jose Garcia, Clarissa Chiang, Alexandra Therese Derpo, Hyungjun Nam, Somin Lee, Hyun Kim, Seung Min Song, Chaeeun Jin, Lee Hyejin, Sungyu Kwon, Harim Choi, Orlando Mirando III, Jee Seung Hong, John Jake Worden, Junhyuk Lee, Kee Hyun Kang, Sunmin Lee, and Wonbin Kim, Wonbin with their mentors, Mr. Rene Aligonero and Ms. Violi Alducente.

Southville delegates were trained by our SLGE teacher and MUN Club Moderator Mr. J. Mhors Calantog and International MUN active participant Gian Chloe Jundez of Gr. 11- Competence.
