SISC Student Named MVP Academic Excellence Awardee

Miguel Antonio B. Ventura, a fourth year Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT) student of Southville International School and Colleges (SISC), brought pride in the institution by fulfilling one of the 5Cs in “Commitment to Achieve”. He was been selected as one of the recipients in the recentlyconcluded 9th MVP Academic Excellence Awards held last 27th of May 2013 at the Meralco Multi-Purpose Hall in Pasig City.

Ventura, a consistent Dean’s Lister and former President of the SISC Chapter of the Junior Philippine Computer Society, received a scholarship grant worth fifty thousand pesos (Php 50,000) as he was chosen along with 25 other college students from across the Philippines. The award is given to dependents of eligible Philippine Long Distance Telephone (PLDT) rank and file employees and supervisors. The following are the criteria for the selection of the awardees:

• The dependent must be currently enrolled in a PAASCU/PACUCOA/CHED accredited school and other properly authorized and chartered educational institutions.
• Must have a General Weighted Average (GWA) of 2.25 with no final grade lower than 2.75.

All qualified applicants shall be selected and on the basis of grades obtained till the last quarter of final grade after one school year.
