Southville BS Tourism Students Discover Bicol Tourism through Fun Experience




August 19, 2016 – Sophomore students of Southville International School and Colleges - BS Tourism embarked on a journey to the southern province of Bicol for an educational tour as part of their Domestic Tourism class and to learn the tourism and culture of the region.

In the 3-day educational tour, the students stayed at the Camsur Watersports Complex (CWC), well known for their artificial lakes and pools, in Naga City, Camarines Sur, wherein they learned that excellent amenities and accommodations plus good location will surely win tourists and visitors. On the side, the students enjoyed wakeboarding and swimming activities.


Southville BS Tourism students in ATVs going to the Casagwa Ruins The students also visited the must-see historical landmarks of Bicol such as the Basilica de Nuestra Señora de Peñafrancia in Naga City and the Daraga Church in Albay. They climbed Kawa Kawa Hill and enjoyed the view of Ligao, Albay. They had creative shots at the Cagsawa Ruins and rode the all terrain vehicle (ATV) in Albay. They loved the local delicacies, especially the chili ice cream in Legazpi.

"Now I appreciate Bicol more! The place is very rich in history, culture and cuisine. The Bicolanas and Bicolanos are beautiful, kind and hospitable. I am sure that once I put up my own travel agency, this will be the crowd favorite."

The Bicol tour aims to show students excellent tourist experience to emulate in the future.
