Dr. Marvin Jino Bugna

High School,

Class 2004-2005

"Southville trained me to become a responsible and disciplined person. It helped me become a good leader in many ways. It taught me the importance of helping others and studying hard in order to get good grades. Applying the 5C’s (Competence, Character, Collaboration, Creativity and Commitment to Achieve) and 5S’s (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain) that Southville taught me was a great help that made a big impact and difference in my life in becoming a doctor." read more>>

100% Passing Rate for Southville BS Education Students in Licensure Exam for Teachers

In the 2015 Licensure Exam for Teachers (LET), Southville International School and Colleges BS Education students recorded a 100 percent passing rate with Katrina Correa landing in the Top 10 LET topnotchers.

This year, Dr. Gina Caneo, Dean of College of Education is hopeful for another 100 percent passing rate as more Southville teacher-hopefuls took the exam last September 25, 2016. Results are expected to be released on November 29, 2016 or 44 working days after the last day of board examinations.

Southville has taken extra measures to ensure its students are well-prepared for quality teaching work, as well as, the board exam by conducting its own review classes during their 4th year in college considering the objectives of the teaching curriculum, the broad areas of teaching, and other related disciplines and competencies.

“I am pleased with the excellent passing rate of our students. This is an indicator of the level of preparation they receive at Southville and the hard work that all of our students put into their studies. I wish them every success in the workforce,” said Dean Gina.
