Southville Math Whiz Wins Again




Southville International School and Colleges - Gwyneth Margaux Tangog of Gr. 7 – Resilience snagged a bronze medal in the 2016 National Parallel Contest Challenge for Future Mathematicians competing in the Junior Division (Grades 7-8) Category.

Sponsored by the Department of Education, the PhilBoard Studies, the Mathematics Trainers’ Guild, the Mathematics Development Academy of the Philippines and Phoenix Publishing House, Inc., the national competition has more than seven hundred Filipino math wizards from Grades 3 to 12 qualifying for the contest.

The National Parallel Challenge for the Future Mathematicians Cluster was organized to allow maximum participation of Filipino math wizards from different centers in the Philippines in international mathematics contests. Gwyneth was recommended by her center coordinator after passing the requirements given by the screening and selection committee.
