The competition was an integral part of the Outcome-Base Education of Southville College of Business Entrepreneurship and Tourism (CBET) which provides students with the opportunity to apply the knowledge and skills learned in the classroom on innovating, producing and promoting their own product and becoming “their own boss.”

Outcome-Base Education is an educational theory adapted by Southville International School and Colleges that bases each part of an educational system around goals (outcomes). The participants of the competition learned and practiced their knowledge and skills in the areas of Project Management such as Integration, Scope, Time, Stakeholders, Human Resources, Communication, Costing, Procurement, Risk Management, Quality Control, and Corporate Social Responsibility.

As a progressive international school in the Philippines, Southville ensures that its students, starting from Nursery up to College, are equipped with money management skills through class programs like Financial Literacy, Business, Math of Investment and Personal Finance.
