Karate Team Brings Home Medals

The SISC Karate contingent amassed a total of 29 medals for eight gold, thirteen silver and eight bronze from the 5th Zen Okinawan Karate Kobudo Tournament held at Robinson’s Place, Las Pinas City last January 20, 2018. The tournament brought together schools and gyms from Bicol, Bulacan, Bacoor, Laguna, Muntinlupa, and Las Piñas.
The medal winners are:
Maxine Santos – Gold for Arnis and High School Novice Karate & Kata
Anthony Magcalas - Gold for Grade School Intermediate Kata
Danielle Marquez - Gold for Nunchaku, Silver for Advanced Kata and Sai Kata
Stan Rivera - Gold for High School Novice Karate, Silver for Bo Kata
Josette Aurelio - Gold for Bo Kata and High School Intermediate Karate Kata, Silver for Nunchaku, Bronze for Synchronized Kata
Stefano De Castro - Gold for Arnis, Bronze for High School Intermediate Karate Kata,
Miguel Alzona - Silver for High School Intermediate Karate Kata, Synchronized Kata and Arnis
Shannen Jimenez - Silver for High School Novice Karate Kata
