Former Ambassador to Brunei Speaks in Southville’s Business Forum

General Alexander B. Yano, former Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and former Ambassador Extraordinary Plenipotentiary to the Royal Sultanate of Brunei Darussalam, opened the year-long CEO Forum of Southville International School and Colleges (SISC) last July 19, 2012.

With the topic “The Youth as Pillars of Global Leadership and Development”, General Yano recounted his inspiring journey to become the AFP Chief of Staff and Ambassador to Brunei Darussalam. His practice of the virtues of integrity, faith, hard work, humility, patriotism, and respect highlighted the 5Cs (Competence, Character, Collaboration, Creativity and Commitment to Achieve) which are the foundation of the school’s educational philosophy. He received a very warm response from the members of the academic community and the students who attended the event.

The CEO Forum is a year-long series of lectures and activities sponsored by the College of Business Administration in line with SISC’s advocacy to develop future achievers and leaders who will make a difference in the 21st century.
