European Novelist Debuts Books at Southville

Gizela Zebroski, known internationally as the author of the novels The Baroness and Mephisto Waltz successfully launched her books at Southville International School and Colleges, Las Piñas city recently.
Born in Latvia and based in the United States, author Zebroski emphasized that her novel strongly reflects the stories of her grandmother. Certain literary elements used were inspired by the author’s own struggles for survival before, during and after World War II.
Published by Inkling Press in 2006, The Baroness is a historical fiction novel that follows the exploits of Elisa, a Latvian baroness whose life changes drastically over the fall of the Russian Empire and the rise of the Communists.
Copies of The Baroness and Mephisto Waltz were sold at P400.00 each at the book launch Percentage of the proceeds of the sales of books will go to the SEED Academy, a night school of Southville’s with Information Technology courses.
