Dr. Marvin Jino Bugna

High School,

Class 2004-2005

"Southville trained me to become a responsible and disciplined person. It helped me become a good leader in many ways. It taught me the importance of helping others and studying hard in order to get good grades. Applying the 5C’s (Competence, Character, Collaboration, Creativity and Commitment to Achieve) and 5S’s (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain) that Southville taught me was a great help that made a big impact and difference in my life in becoming a doctor." read more>>

Math whiz makes it to select summer camp

Gen Mark Tanno of Gr. 10 - Commitment has been accepted to the 47th Ateneo Junior Summer Seminar reserved for the ‘best minds’ of selected high schools nationwide.  Tanno passed a battery of tests similar to the Ateneo College Entrance Test (assuring him of a slot at Ateneo de Manila University after graduating from high school), and will attend classes offered to regular undergraduates, sports fests, field trips, camps, and presentations.

In another triumph, Tanno was one of only 63 students from the Philippines who received a medal (Bronze) in the second round of the International Mathematics Assessments for Schools (IMAS) held last February 22, 2014.
