Aika Riguera Reaps Recognitions

Fresh from being featured in ABS-CBN’s special documentary Batang Henyo, Svetlana “Aika” Riguera of Grade 6-Perseverance will now join the newest batch of Junior Inquirer Snoops. Junior Inquirer (JI), the pioneering and multi-awarded news magazine for children that comes out every Sunday with the Philippine Daily Inquirer, selected Aika after she passed the application test and interview. As one of the kiddie reporters who will go on press coverage, do reviews, and write for the newspaper supplement, Aika will undergo enhancement training to become the best writer and print journalist she can be.

Aika was also one of the national finalists in the Search for 35 Youth Leaders for Makabagong Rizal sponsored by The Philippine Center for Gifted Education (PCGE), in cooperation with the National Historical Commission (NHC), the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA), the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP), and Tanghalang Pilipino (TP).
