Southville High School Student Earns Black Belt



Yuji Yoshida, a senior student of Southville International School and Colleges (SISC) is the first member of the SISC Karatedo Team to be awarded the black belt in karate, which denotes a high level of competence and expertise in the martial art. He was recognized for manifesting excellent behavior and attitude, and for performing well in terms of tournament winnings.

 

The award was conferred by the Goshin Kai Martial Arts which is the Philippine representative of the International Meibukan Goju Ryu Karatedo Association of Naha, Okinawa, Japan.

 

Yuji has won the championship of several karatedo tournaments such as the National Goju Cup, the Children-Cadets-Juniors National Karatedo Championship, and the World Union of Karate-Do Federations (WUKF)-Intercontinental Karatedo Tournament.
