Southville Math Teams Advance in MTAP

100% of the Grade School and High School math teams of Southville International School and Colleges (SISC) hurdled the elimination round of the 2012 Metrobank – MTAP (Math Teachers Association of the Philippines) – Department of Education Math Challenge Qualifier to advance to the Division Team Finals. Congratulations to the following math whizzes:


Grade 1: Edrigo Dauigoy, Joshua Perez, and Ian Mercado
Grade 2: Isaac Kim, Antwone Ong, and Gwyneth Tangog
Grade 3: Abby Franco, Jang Ku Hyo, and Kyela Jose
Grade 4: Stefano de Castro, Jeong Hoo Kim, and Seung Hun Lee
Grade 5: Arielle Gutierrez, Syou Katsumi, Christian Joseph Papa, and Matthew Sybingco
Grade 6: Aika Riguera and Romeo Say

High School I: Timothy Alarcon, Gen Mark Tanno, and Trisha Uy
High School II: Henzor Dauigoy, Jin Woong Kwak, and Bora Sin
High School III: Erika Canonizado, Clyde Huang, and Min Hwa Song
High School IV: Yun Jung Jang and Yuji Yoshida


In addition, three SISC students were named Merit Awardees in the MTAP-NCR Private Sectoral Division. Gen Mark Tanno of HS I – Integrity received 1st Honors; Gwyneth Tangog of Grade 2 – Archimedes ranked 2nd Honors; and Atwone Ong of Grade 2 – Franklin got 3rd Honors.
