Dr. Marvin Jino Bugna

High School,

Class 2004-2005

"Southville trained me to become a responsible and disciplined person. It helped me become a good leader in many ways. It taught me the importance of helping others and studying hard in order to get good grades. Applying the 5C’s (Competence, Character, Collaboration, Creativity and Commitment to Achieve) and 5S’s (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain) that Southville taught me was a great help that made a big impact and difference in my life in becoming a doctor." read more>>

Investment Camp for Educators Set

Investment Camp for Educators Set
Business students across the country, whose professors are awarded scholarships on Investment Teaching Accreditation Program (ITAP), are set to experience a better appreciation of their lessons on investments, capital market and securities, and financial investment management, for the upcoming academic year.
Initiated by the Capital Market Institute of the Philippines (CMIP) in cooperation with Southville International School and Colleges (SISC) and Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE), ITAP which will run on May 24-28, 2010, is a scholarship program given to selected Filipino college professors/instructors from all over the country. The scholarship which covers seminar fees, handouts and board and lodging, is conducted with guest lecturers and workshop facilitators who are industry practitioners with a strong academic background, and academic professors and special lecturers in prestigious academic institutions, some of whom are authors of books on investment and capital market.

Now on its fifth year, ITAP has trained, graduated, and accredited more than 100 college professors who each received a Certificate of Accreditation for Teaching Investments. All the scholars are expected to actively participate in the institutional activities/exercises and undergo final written assessment after each program component.
