Gen Mark Bags Bronze in Indonesia Int’l Math and Science Tilt



Southville International School and Colleges’ pride Gen Mark Tanno, together with other young Filipino math buffs, powered the Philippines to a third place finish in the 7th International Mathematics and Science Olympiad (IMSO) for Primary Schools held last October 10-15 in Bali, Indonesia.
 
In the overall ranking, Thailand came in first with 5 golds, 5 silvers and 1 bronze, followed by Indonesia with 2 golds, 8 silvers and 6 bronzes. The Philippine Team landed in third place by bagging an impressive total of 19 medals (2 golds, 2 silvers and 15 bronzes). The contest was participated in by nine countries namely, Brunei, Indonesia, Iran, Malaysia, Taiwan, Thailand, Philippines, Singapore and Sri Lanka.v
