"Southville’s Poor Urban Child (POUCH) was a program that made an impact in my life. As a future nurse, caring is part of the values that we must uphold in our lives. Through POUCH, I was able to learn early the importance of caring for other individuals through serving and sharing with the beneficiaries of POUCH what they are not privileged to have." read more>>

Southville MassComm Student is Miss Philippines Fire 2011

Dressed in a simple yet elegant white gown, Michelle Gavagan was made more beautiful by a red, fiery crown during the Miss Philippines Earth 2011 pageant. Indeed, she had gone a real long way from being Miss Southville International School and Colleges (SISC) 2010. In her first pageant outside school, she bagged the Miss Philippines-Fire title.

After surviving four heart pounding elimination rounds, Michelle was already named as one of the Philippines’ 10 Most Beautiful Women. In one of the preliminary competitions, she received the Miss Golden Sunset Special Award. During the grand coronation night held in Puerto Princesa City last June 5, 2011, she went on to mesmerize the judges with her stunning looks and sharp wit during the casual interview, swimwear and long gown ramps, and the final question and answer portion.

Congratulations Michelle! Your Monarchs family is truly proud of you.
