SISC, the Only International School Named to the List of Best Employers in the Philippines 2023

Southville International School and Colleges (SISC) has been named one of the Philippines’ Best Employers for 2023, the only international school among the educational institutions included in the overall list of 300 companies. The analysis was released by the Philippine Daily Inquirer in partnership with Statista Inc., a statistics portal and industry ranking provider.

The list was compiled by surveying over 11,000 employees and over 2,000 companies in the country with at least 250 workers on their payrolls.

Respondents were asked to share their opinion on their companies’ work environment, compensation package, opportunities for job growth, work-life balance, image and reputation, and more. They were also asked to rate their willingness to recommend their own employers to family and friends. Statista then narrowed down the results to the 300 companies that scored the highest on the survey.

SISC provides various professional development resources to its faculty and staff like the Learning Institute Program which features 320 training programs offering a strong cultural orientation and the knowledge and training needed to build their capacity to do their jobs well. Its Management Development Program provides new and existing leaders with the skills necessary to effectively lead such as influence, communication, agility, and critical thinking.

This is not the first time SISC was recognized for human resource management as it is the first organization in Asia that received the Gold Certificate for Excellence in People Management 2015, bypassing Silver and Bronze, from world accreditor Investors in People (IiP) UK. It also received the Excellence in Educational Transformation Award (EETA) for its “Excellence in Academic Management and Administrative Management” from Bayan Academy.

“SISC is a great place to work in, and this ranking serves as a confirmation of that,” said SISC President Jocelyn Tizon of the school’s latest achievement. “We believe that maintaining an exceptional working environment for our employees is key to successfully serving our students and community.”

Southville is joined by top universities such as De La Salle – College of Saint Benilde, Ateneo De Davao University, University of Santo Tomas, Our Lady of Fatima University, Ateneo De Manila University, University of the Philippines, Lyceum of Philippines University, and De La Salle University among others.
