Southville International School and Colleges recently welcomed representatives from Google Australia and Google Philippines for a dynamic exchange on artificial intelligence, Chromebooks, and online certifications in education. Among the visiting delegates were Kimberley Hall, Asia Pacific Digital Transformation Lead, and Adrian Cruz, Digital Transformation Manager for the Philippines.
The visit featured insightful discussions with Southville’s academic leaders and showcased the school’s forward-thinking integration of technology in the classroom. Dr. Marie Vic Suarez shared how Chromebooks have enhanced the delivery of the IXL program, improving student access and performance. Miss Nessie Lumbres highlighted the use of AI tools to deepen student engagement and personalize learning experiences. Sir Sam Bendo offered recommendations to optimize Chromebooks for creative applications like SketchUp, underscoring the school’s commitment to innovation.
The Google team also met with Southville’s Top Management and spent time with students at Monarchs Park, gaining firsthand insight into the vibrant learning culture and digital readiness of the community.
This collaboration marks another step in Southville’s mission to empower globally competitive learners through cutting-edge educational technology and strategic partnerships.
