Lady Monarchs Fight back to Retain ISAC Volleyball Crown

The Southville International School and Colleges (SISC) girls’ volleyball team successfully retained its crown after a dramatic come-from-behind win against Cebu International School (CIS) in the finals of the 2022 International Schools Activities Conference (ISAC). It was the 4th consecutive title achieved by the school after capturing the last three championships prior to the pandemic.

Back-to-back Success: Monarchs Conquer International Music and Arts Competition

Southville International School and Colleges (SISC) Monarchs once again proved that through a grit and growth mindset, success can be achieved as a grade school student and a high school teacher were named contest winners in music and arts, respectively.

Jenica Roque of Grade 4 – Love took 1st Place in the Piano, Junior Division of the 2022 Bach International Music Competition. She competed against 277 candidates from over 21 countries in the online contest dedicated to young musicians passionate about classical composer Johann Sebastian Bach. Roque was likewise a finalist in the 2022 Tokyo International Youth Music Competition.

BSN Alumnus Ronald Suayan, MS MSN FNP-BC: A second –courser’s new-found fulfillment

Ronald Suayan, a Filipino American in his mid-30s, applied to Southville’s BS Nursing (BSN) program as a ‘second-courser’, a label given to adult students coming into the program having completed a previous course. He was surprisingly a well-accomplished professional having completed his Masters of Science in Chemistry-Medicinal Chemist from Stevens Institute of Technology in 2002. He had already completed several research publications and patent inventions under the Wyeth Research Oncology Drug Discovery Grants, which were significant laboratory studies that looked into chemical compounds for the treatment of tumors. An Emotional Homecoming: Southville Students Return to Campus After  Two Years

After almost two years of remote learning, Southville International School and Colleges (SISC) students and teachers were reunited in person since classes were suspended due to the COVID-19 outbreak. Joyous voices rang across the once empty halls of Southville as it resumed face-to-face classes as part of its Hybrid Virtual Online Learning and Teaching (HyVOLT) program. 

SISC has long prepared to welcome its students back on campus to continue providing quality international education.
