Southville Launches International English Learning Center to Advance Global Competence

Las Piñas City, Philippines — In a bold step toward strengthening global competence and inclusive education, Southville International School and Colleges (SISC) officially announces the establishment of the Southville International English Learning Center (SIELC). This strategic initiative affirms Southville’s commitment to equipping students and stakeholders with the language skills needed to thrive in academic, professional, and cross-cultural environments.

Recognizing that English proficiency is a critical gateway to quality education and international opportunity, SISC has long envisioned a dedicated center that offers high-quality instruction tailored to diverse learners. The newly launched SIELC will serve as the institutional hub for English for Academic Purposes (EAP), English for Specific Purposes (ESP), English as a Second Language (ESL), English as a Foreign Language (EFL), and test preparation programs such as IELTS and TOEFL. It will also host immersive language activities aligned with global standards.

SIELC is designed to support Southville’s internationalization agenda, learner diversity goals, and academic excellence through specialized programs that cater to both local and international students. It will develop and implement English language programs for academic, professional, and personal advancement, collaborate with partner institutions for proficiency assessments and certifications, and ensure continuous improvement through research, training, and innovation. With the integration of technology and AI, classes in the center are made more personalized and engaging while real-time dashboards are provided for parents to ensure strong home-school partnerships.

With SIELC now in motion, Southville continues to champion SDG 4: Quality Education and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, fostering a learning environment where language becomes a bridge to opportunity, inclusion, and global citizenship.
