Southville International School and Colleges (SISC) proudly celebrates the latest achievement of Mr. Aristheo McKay Lacuna, Assistant Professor and Senior Faculty of the Southville Business School and Southville Institute of Tourism, who has been named a Fellow by the Internet Governance Institute for the Asia Pacific Regional Internet Governance Forum (APrIGF) 2025.
Representing both SISC and the Philippines, Mr. Lacuna joins a select group of thought leaders tasked with shaping digital policy and governance across the region. His selection as a Fellow affirms his growing influence in social innovation, academic leadership, and good governance—core values that resonate deeply with Southville’s mission of global citizenship and excellence.
As part of his Fellowship, Mr. Lacuna will actively contribute to policy discussions and collaborative frameworks that impact internet governance in Asia Pacific. Fellows have been selected from across the region through a competitive process that recognizes expertise, advocacy, and leadership in digital governance. He has committed to ensuring continuity in his academic responsibilities, with asynchronous preparations in place for affected classes.
Dr. Nancy De Guia, SGEN Director for International Relations and Linkages, expressed her joy and admiration for Mr. Lacuna’s achievement, calling it “commendable” and aligned with Southville’s faculty mobility and internationalization goals. Internal coordination is underway to explore institutional support for this global engagement.
Mr. Lacuna also serves as Co-chairperson of the National Association of Social Enterprise Educators and Administrators (NASEEA), further amplifying his role as a champion of innovation and academic diplomacy.
