Southville’s Team Powerpuff Corn — Mykaella Joy N. Albon, Carl Jethro C. Balome, and Jerome B. Menor — earned a commendable 5th Place finish at the prestigious Nicanor Reyes Cup, an inter-school Accounting Quiz Bee hosted by Far Eastern University – Manila. Their collective brilliance, composure, and mastery of accounting fundamentals underscore the strength of Southville’s BS Accountancy Philippines program and its reputation for shaping future CPA leaders.
Joining them in representing Southville were Team Powerpuff Girls — Piola M. Galang, Jasmine Hyacinth R. Malilong, and Najmah B. Musor — whose dedication and confident participation further exemplify the passion and academic rigor that define Southville students. Both teams demonstrated the spirit of excellence fostered in Southville’s classrooms.
Southville’s BS Accountancy program continues to rank among the top accountancy schools in Metro Manila, producing CPA board exam results that are three times higher than the national passing rate. The program offers students an accounting course with financial lab training through the Southville Financial Lab, a modern facility that simulates actual trading environments and allows learners to bridge theory with practice.
We are incredibly proud of our teams’ performance at the Nicanor Reyes Cup. These students exemplify the excellence, passion, and integrity that define Southville’s Accountancy program. Through rigorous training and holistic support, we prepare our learners not only for licensure—but for leadership and meaningful impact in the profession, shares Mr. Jason Bugatan, Program Chairperson for BS Accountancy.
Held last April, the Nicanor Reyes Cup brought together accounting students from institutions across the Philippines. For those seeking the best accounting program for future CPAs, Southville continues to be a premier destination.
