End hunger, achieve food security and improved nutrition
Southville recognizes that learning thrives when students are nourished—physically, emotionally, and intellectually. Our commitment to SDG 2 begins with promoting food security and nutritional awareness across our campuses and partner communities. Through collaborations with local feeding programs, student-led donation drives, and health education initiatives, we help ensure that no learner is held back by hunger. These efforts are not episodic—they are embedded into our culture of care and community engagement.
Within our academic framework, Southville integrates nutrition science, sustainable agriculture concepts, and values-based discussions on food equity. Our College of Nursing and allied health programs actively participate in outreach missions that address malnutrition and promote healthy living. By equipping students with both knowledge and empathy, we prepare them to advocate for food justice and contribute to a society where every child, every family, and every community has access to nourishment and dignity.
