Southville gears up for Speedcubing Competition

Can you solve a Rubik’s cube?

You have seen it, you have touched it, and you probably tried to solve it once in your life. It is collecting dust, unsolved, in a forgotten cabinet, somewhere in your house.

I have witnessed, with my two own eyes, how my friend solved it in 9 seconds. Yes, you’ve read that right. 9 seconds! He turned, on average, a fully scrambled colorful mess into an organized six-colored cube in 9 seconds.

On April 3, 2016, the fastest of the fastest nationwide will gather to compete in the first ever Speedcubing Competition in Las Piñas! The Las Piñas Open 2016 @ SISC!

This event is recognized by the world governing body of Speedcubing, World Cube Association (http://www.worldcubeassociation.com), and the national governing body, Philippine Cubers Association. It is also one of the few official competitions to be held in the Southern Luzon region this year.

If you know how to solve a Rubik’s cube, or are ready to witness the records broken, come and join the Las Piñas Open 2016 @ SISC!
