Chin Jean D. Yee’s Journey from Nursing to Entrepreneurship
Chin Jean D. Yee, a proud alumna of Southville International School and Colleges, began her professional journey in the field of nursing—driven by a deep desire to serve with competence, compassion, and character. Today, she leads AE Dynamics Vehicle Repair and Maintenance Services, proving that the values instilled in a strong BSN program extend far beyond hospital walls.
Southville’s BSN curriculum provided Chin Jean with more than clinical expertise. It nurtured her discipline, ethical decision-making, and attention to detail—traits that now guide her as an entrepreneur. “Nursing taught me how to serve with purpose,” she shares. “Entrepreneurship is just another way to do that.”

After graduating, Chin Jean returned to Southville as a faculty member, where she discovered her passion for mentorship. Teaching reinforced the leadership principles she now applies in business: humility, empathy, and clear communication.
At AE Dynamics, Chin Jean leads her team with the same integrity and precision she once brought to patient care. “Running a business is like managing a classroom,” she explains. “You need collaboration, trust, and transparency.”

Her journey affirms that a holistic BSN program—rooted in service, strategic thinking, and the 5Cs of Southville (Competence, Character, Commitment to Achieve, Collaboration, and Creativity)—prepares graduates for diverse paths, including entrepreneurship.
To aspiring professionals, Chin Jean offers this advice: “Let your values guide you. Whether you’re caring for patients or managing a business, integrity and service will always set you apart.”
