•  Advisers, LFs, DPs check the attendance of students. It is reflected on the Online Student Attendance Monitoring Sheet for each level;
• IB uses Google Sheet for attendance per subject;
• ECED monitors through Video Conference, one-on-one and group ones are counted as well (since others using viber cannot join the meet or zoom).

B. Attendance is also checked through responses to e-mails, discussion board postings and assignment submissions or as long as students respond to course requirements by the day and time established by the instructor.

Attending online classes is required as missing the class will disrupt your academic routine. You will   miss the opportunity to be equipped with the knowledge and skills as required in the curriculum.

Yes. You can email the K12 officers as well as the K12 teachers to answer your queries. You can also send your queries to the PR Office through email, Viber or Messenger.

Our students’ health and safety should be the priority. Please inform us immediately if you cannot participate in the online class due to health problems. We can discuss intervention programs for you as soon as you are ready to come back to online class.

Graduation Days for Senior Kinder, Grade 6 and Grade 12 will remain as scheduled as of this writing.

If suspension will be extended, online classes continue following the school calendar. Thus, summer will not be affected.

PE classes and other special subjects are conducted online through video conferencing, required physical activities posted in MOODLE and recorded instructions.

Formative assessments are given online to assess what students have learned. Assigned tasks such as worksheets and the like are also evaluated to assess learning.

Teachers will base the grades on all the learning output submitted by the students during the online classes should class suspension be extended.

You can wear your uniform or civilian clothes following SISC’s dress code.

Students who get Perfect Attendance during online classes will be recognized. This is to
encourage students to be always present during online classes.

Your research teachers and advisers as well as the PASS coordinators have access to Turnitin. You can ask them for help so they can process your Turnitin.

Online counselling is happening even if we are quarantined. Please get in touch directly with your sponsor, homeroom adviser or counselor. If you need help in contacting him/her, your Principal or the PR Staff will help connect the two of you.

For online classes, participation is counted as attendance. It may be in the video conference, or MOODLE/Google Classroom submission, online forum, group chats, etc. depending on the arrangement with the instructor
Your participation is checked in order to find out how many students are actually online or not. Then your teacher, Coordinator, or Dean will reach out to students who are not engaged in order to assist or address any concerns, if any.
Online attendance for each class is well-monitored to ensure that no student is left behind. All should be given the opportunity to still continue learning through various platforms. Attendance will serve as the monitoring guide to those who are not attending (how to help them) and those who are diligently attending.

Since we do not know how long this quarantine will be, you will miss out on the topics discussed, consequently you will lag behind in your lessons. Furthermore, you will miss out on the opportunity to familiarize yourself with the platforms used that may help you in your future endeavors, i.e. employment. This will be a good talking point in your job interview on how you were able to cope with the crisis personally.
Aside from missing out on the lessons being taught for the day, this will matter much when actual classes resume. Additionally you will be missing out on the chance to interact with your teachers and classmates who will be able to assist you in difficult lessons.
Although failure to attend in online classes does not mean failure in the subject, submissions and activities done online will be part of your grade.

The Deans and Coordinators are available 24/7 to answer your concerns. Teachers may also be contacted.
Group chats have been created to address issues and concerns. You also have your mentors whom you can approach anytime online.

These are concerns that can be answered by informing us immediately. There are options that can be given and support will always be extended to you.
If you are exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19 and this prevents you from accomplishing online activities, then your health comes first and we advise you to completely inhibit yourself from any school-related activity. If what you are doing is the general quarantine, we highly encourage you to continue with online participation.
Students are advised to just inform their teachers or if not, the Coordinators or Deans. Special arrangement will be done to bridge the gap because of the health concerns.

Through online classes, the academic calendar is on track. The schedule of graduation remains to be on June 3, 2020.

This is really the reason why online classes are being held. To see to it that the school calendar is not greatly affected in such a way as to disrupt any school activity or program. With online classes we hope to be able to end the school year as scheduled.
Classes are ongoing, so to date, summer classes will be offered as scheduled. Should there be any changes, there will be an announcement and your Coordinator or Dean will advise you accordingly.

You may enroll for summer classes starting May 25. Start of Summer Classes is June 8.
Again, we are still following our academic calendar. Should the quarantine period be extended appropriate announcements will be made.

You will be given grades in your classes because the teachers are giving online laboratory activities while some give alternative activities to compensate for the laboratory hours.
Laboratory classes are virtual at this time. Teachers are very creative in terms of providing supplemental materials for learning.

PE activities now vary with the use of video, MOODLE and the like in lieu of the physical activities. PE classes are on track and the online platform will serve as the medium for PE activities.

Given that we are on lockdown, the teachers have modified the exams to methods that can be administered online through group chats, video conferencing, and other online learning platforms like MOODLE and Google Classroom. These tests can be oral, project-based, or essays. The different forms of exams that will be given online will be discussed with you thoroughly by your teacher. The end goal is to ensure that the same learning outcomes are achieved for the students.

The COVID Pandemic has affected the normal activity of people not just here in the Philippines but in other corners of the world. Your plans for summer vacation will not be in the hands of the school but will rely on how the global conditions develop in the next couple of months.
However, in terms of what is within SISC’s control, we don’t see any reason why you won’t be able to finish the semester (please just take note of the one week extension) because we are still following the academic calendar.

When classes resume on April 15, the new schedule for your comprehensive examinations will be announced by your Dean.
If this extends, the Dean will announce an alternative mode for giving the comprehensive exam. In the same way that term exams were modified, this will also take place.

Make-up or review classes may be scheduled during the self-study week but no new assignments will be given. This may also be your time to finish your pending requirements, if any.

Yes, you are encouraged to wear either your school uniform or your org shirt. In any case that it is not available, you are required to wear any decent attire. Sleeveless or clothes with plunging necklines are highly discouraged. This will be based on the advice of your teacher. However, regardless of the required attire, appropriate dress code will still be required when attending classes as a courtesy to your classmates and teacher.

Yes, your absences prior the quarantine were counted. Please refer to the student handbook for the number of allowable absences.

Yes, you may consult your Coordinator or Dean while you are studying online. You may send them an email, SMS, or reach them through social applications such as Messenger, Viber, Hangouts, and the like.

Extension of student visa will be processed once all government offices resume operations.
Please take note of the Bureau of Immigration (BI) Announcement as of March 26:
They announced that they will temporarily be allowing holders of temporary visitors visa, who have stayed in the country for less than one year, to acquire their Emmigration Clearance Certificates (ECCs) at the international airports.
BI Commissioner Jaime Morente said that the decision followed after Luzon was placed under Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19).
An ECC is issued to temporary visitors who have stayed in the country for more than six months, and to holders of residence, work, or students visas who wish to leave the country for good.

Visa is stamped on the passport. It is also printed at the back of the I Card or ACR card.

The College of Nursing has come up with alternate activities for the RLE. Please get in touch with your Coordinator or Dean for more details.

Once operations resumes, hopefully by April 15, the new schedule will be announced. Should the quarantine be extended, appropriate announcement will be made.

Your Practicum Coordinator will give you an alternative activity/project to make sure that you will finish the required number of hours. Kindly take note though that you have to work on this diligently so that you will finish your requirements for Practicum on time. Remember that we will still observe ZERO DEFICIENCY for graduation.
