The 2019 Model United Nations Locals was successfully held last September 20 to 21. Twenty-nine students from Southville International School and Colleges (SISC) participated comprising of new and veteran delegates for the Human Rights, EcoSoc, Security,General Assembly 1, and General Assembly 4 Councils . Among them are awardees Akisha Julianne Cu – Best Delegate from the Human Rights Council, Cuitlauzina Brianna Cerbito – Most Diplomatic Award from the Economic and Social Council, and David Jacob Ramos – Honorable Mention from the Security Council. SISC bagged 151 GOLD, 141 SILVER, 11 TROPHIES, and SPECIAL AWARDS!

Shortly after hosting the 2019 World Scholar’s Cup (WSC) – Manila Round II, Southville International School and Colleges (SISC) teamed up with WSC once again to welcome 1500+ scholars from 30 countries – this time for the Global Round. The event was held at Newport Performing Arts Theatre, Resorts World  Manila from September 6 to 11, 2019.

Multi-medalist Gwyn Tangog Celebrates Her 5th International Competition Victory

Grade 10 student Gwyneth Margaux G. Tangog marked another victory at the China Girls Mathematical Olympiad (CGMO) – her fifth international competition to date, where she earned a silver medal. The CGMO was held from August 10 to 15 in Wuhan City, Hubei Province, China. Prior to the competition, Gwyn spent her vacation attending summer training camps, which she found beneficial for her preparation. The CGMO apparently required a higher skill level, from which Gwyn was prompted to find more ways to “learn what she needed to learn”. The SGEN Learning Village (LV) couldn’t be more grateful to see its little community rapidly grow as it finally turns a year old. This learning center is located at the heart of Elizalde in Parañaque City. Launched August 18, 2018  to kids 7 and below, LV started as a playhouse which has been developed as a play school.
