Southville to Host World Scholar’s Cup Manila Round 2019

Straight from winning 66 GOLDS, 43 SILVERS, and a TROPHY outperforming most schools from 58 countries at the WSC – Tournament of Champions held in Yale University, Southville International School and Colleges is privileged to host the World Scholar’s Cup (WSC) – Manila Round happening on July 14 – 15, 2019.

“The World Scholar’s Cup is created to cater a different taste of academic competitions and conferences; a celebration of the joy of learning, a tournament as rewarding for the team that came in last as the team that came in first, and an enrichment opportunity that motivated students not just to demonstrate their existing strengths, but to discover new ones.

In this tournament, the participants will explore different subject areas such as Special Area – Unsolved Mysteries, History – Neglected Histories, Social Studies – On the Edge of Society, Science – Enabling Technologies, Art & Music – Louder than Words, and Literature – Voices from the Margins. The four exciting events are Scholar’s Bowl, Collaborative Writing, Scholar’s Challenge and Debate. Qualified scholars will have the chance to participate in any of the Global Rounds and in due course, in the Tournament of Champions at Yale University in the United States. Every participant will walk away with new friends, new discoveries, and new alpacas.
